Sorry, this item is out of stock.

William Brockwell made some fine quality and distinctive antique silver caddy spoons and this is a great example.

This stunning George III period spoon has a bright-cut engraved handle including an original script engraved monogram. The fluted bowl has a central line of beading which was a trademark feature of many Brockwell caddy spoons and gives it a very appealing look. London-made caddy spoons did not feature a date letter amongst the hallmarks until 1781, so this is an early example, plus in December 1784 the duty mark was stamped for the first time - this spoon features a great example of the earliest incuse form of this mark which was only used for 18 months.

Overall this is a very appealing silver caddy spoon with lots of features of interest, plus the bonus of being in excellent, crisp condition.
