Table Spoons (pair) - Old English pattern - London 1787 by Hester Bateman - 22.2cm long; 131g combined weight - ED/3939a

These are a beautiful pair of Old English pattern silver table spoons made by the lady silversmith Hester Bateman.

The spoons are in excellent antique condition with good bowl tips and a fine patina. They bear original script "EJ" initials that are unusually and attractively framed by shield-shaped cartouches. The reverse of the bowls have long, extended heels and the stems are crisply struck with clear Georgian period hallmarks for Hester Bateman.
