Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a good-looking Scottish provincial silver caddy spoon made by James Douglas of Dundee.

The spoon has a fiddle pattern handle which remains free from engravings and a superb fluted bowl with scrolls to the deep - this was a popular Scottish design for caddy spoons. The reverse of the handle is stamped with a clear "JD" maker's mark and two less distinct marks which have both been punched twice and are more closely akin to James Douglas of Dundee as opposed to the only other candidate working from Aberdeen.
