These are an attractive pair of Georgian silver sugar nips or tea tongs with a central covered hinge.
The cleanly struck part hallmarks (lion passant an maker's mark) are located to the finger rings in the usual manner and include the "R.M" maker's mark of the prolific and top quality maker Richard Mills. The plates over the hinge are free from personal engraving and critically with Georgian nippers, this pair are in excellent original condition with no damage nor repair.
