Caddy Spoon - Bright-cut with Scallop Bowl - London 1788 by Hester Bateman - 7.4cm long; 8g - MU/4685

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is the form of antque silver caddy spoon for which Hester Bateman is best known and what a great example!

The handle is delicately  bright-cut engraved with demi-lunes along the edge and a starburst to the terminal; there are no personalised engravings. It is attached to a deep, fluted scallop-shaped bowl and benefits from being in superb condition with a stunning set of crisp hallmarks to the reverse side including a near-perfect example of the much sought after "HB" in script maker's mark.
